Cannon Elementary: A GCISD STEM School has been named an ITEEA STEM School of Excellence. Cannon is one of just 10 schools in the nation to earn the distinction, and the only one in Texas.
The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association recognizes outstanding schools for their commitment to providing a robust Integrative STEM education program. And that presents our community with a unique opportunity to sponsor and support education that is leading the way for the skills students will need to succeed in the future.
That is why the Cannon PTA is opening up new sponsorship opportunities for companies of all sizes. Some opportunities include:
Platinum Sponsor: Help us fund a large capital project, like shading for the playground. We will mention your company in every major communication and feature you prominently on our home page and find unique ways to partner throughout the year. We will feature a full-length write up about your company and its commitment to STEM in a newsletter and online.
Friends of STEM: Help us fund teacher-appreciation and ongoing expenses. We will list you as a sponsor online and in major communications.
Newsletter Sponsor: Help us keep the communication open with more than 300 members in a weekly newsletter as the title sponsor. Cannon Shots — The Weekly Newsletter of the PTA sponsored by ____ (Sounds nice, right?)
Event Sponsors: We will have several large community events throughout the year, including:
